§ 320. Membership, etc.

  • The authority shall be composed of seven voting members, and two ex officio (non-voting members). The voting members shall be residents and electors of the county, and shall be appointed by the county commission. The ex officio members shall be one county commissioner appointed by the county commission, and one City of Perry City Councilmember, designated by the city council of the City of Perry, and confirmed by the county commission. The seven voting members shall each serve four-year terms. The county commission shall fill any vacancy for an unexpired term. A member of the authority shall be eligible for reappointment. Any member of the authority may be removed by the county commission for misfeasance, malfeasance, or willful neglect of duty. Each member of the authority, before entering upon his or her duties, shall take and subscribe the oath or affirmation required by the State Constitution. A record of each such oath shall be filed with the Department of State and with the clerk.
